Isn't funny how meaningful music is? I mean, pop music? Don't you think the song lyrics are so meaningful? And those dang "artists" they just write all of their own music, and that is their natural voice, you know. That is totally them singing, no auto tune there.
Let's just break down one of the current popular songs:
This one is called "Starships - Niki Minaj":
Starships were meant to fly, (What is a star ship..? Assuming it's a ship, of course it was constructed to fly..)
Hands up, and touch the sky. (Well, this is a common action associated when listening to music at a club, or some sort of concert.)
Can't stop 'cuz we're so high.( I do hope she/the real lyricist is referring to the space, star, aircraft.)
Let's do this, one more time. (And...yeah)
It's funny because, I would extract more lyrics, but this is really the whole song. I mean come on. Why, why would this at all ever be number one on http://www.itunes.com/?! Like, this song literally serves no meaning. Now I know, everyone has their own taste. But I wish music was like it used to be, wholesome and enriched. A lot went into a song, into an album. I like emotional songs, songs that give hit a certain emotion. The artist in this era that I have a lot of respect for is artists none the less. People who call themselves artists but don't even construct their own music annoys me. Even people like Justin Bieber, or Bruno Mars I have some respect for. Have you heard either of them live? I mean DANNNG! Sing it! They also are instrumentally talented. But don't get to show off because of course, that kind of stuff "wont sell". If the MUSIC artist can either sing, song write, play an instrument or well, that's it. THEN they reallly are music artists. Now, even music like dupstep is actual artists. They construct their own twists on things, they don't just slap their name on studio, fake crap that went through and was picked at by 100 other people.
